Supposed to be a girl, but I think she tried to crow today

Good example of male vs female Barred Rock in this pic of a brother and sister at 6 weeks of age. Males inherit two barring genes, making them appear lighter overall since the white bars predominate:

Here is a side by side picture of the Barred rock in question (on the left), and a chick purchased from the same batch on the same day (right). Hope this photo helps even more on what Sweety is.
 
Here is a pic of Sweety (chick in question) the day we purchased her/him (1/27/12) and a pic I took today (2/12/12). Hope the pics are good enough for someone, who knows more then I, on its gender.
 
You have a little cockerel there. The comb is too big and red for a pullet at that age, and the barring is lighter than a pullet's would be. BR males have light barring.
