Bought at TSC as Lavender Orpington pullets
8 weeks old

I’m not even sure it’s a L.O, let alone a pullet :/

Thank you for your help!

Weird... the feather color and body shape seems right but the legs and comb seem way off! Maybe it’s accidentally a mix or something? Because it does look like an LO but the comb and legs are definitely not supposed to be that color! Never seen one with such dark legs :ep not sure on gender. Comb doesn’t look very big or red but bird looks quite large and meaty and thick legs. Orps can be very hard to tell. Might need to wait a few more weeks.

Yes, that’s what’s throwing me off! I have a LO rooster and he looked nothing like this when he was little so I’m lost.

I had what was supposed to be a LO pullet and sure enough it looked like a pullet until it grew in saddle and hackle feathers.

As for breed. Looks like an LO to me. Mine had these beautiful slate blue legs.

But you will want to watch for the feathers growing in before you know for sure.

Mine had slate blue legs too but these almost look black??? And the comb looks dark too.

This was mine around the same age and as an adult. His legs didn’t really darken until he was older.
