Hey guys,

I am the proud owner of these two pullet?? I think the larger is a pullet, she’s 8 weeks old and looking very female. The 6 weeks old one I’m leaning towards a Roo, but hopeful I’m wrong. Any ideas of breed or gender?

Much love 💕

At that young age with that much growth of comb and wattles and them being that red.. I'd say both are cockerels. And they aren't Welsummers. Welsummers have a straight comb and yellow legs. Maybe someone else will be able to help out on their breed. Good luck! :fl

The light brown-ish one (in the front of the pack in the 1st picture and backed up to the leghorn in the 2nd picture) is a Welsummer pullet at about 2 months. I don't think yours are Welsummers.

That comb and those wattles look like it's a boy!

You think they both are?
The bigger one is around 10 weeks, I thought for sure it was a pullet because all the feathers are rounded and light coloured chest.

I’d love to know the mix? They where bought as pure welsummers, but’s it’s very obvious they aren’t:(

Sadness

I'm so sorry that not only are they turning out to be boys but that someone sold you something different than you thought you were buying. :hugs I am not super great on guessing the mixed breeds but if I were to give it a shot..... For the smaller bird, that gold lacing reminds me of a Golden Sebright or maybe a Gold Laced Wyandotte mixed with something else. The bigger bird has more barring on its feathers. I don't have a clue about it. Sorry that I can't be more helpful! :hmm
