I can tell from the picture that your DD is enjoying her brood.
Another of our newbies is really bossy. She tries to keep the other chicks away from the feed. My DD gives her a gentle nudge out of the way!

I had one like that. A pretty Silver Wyandotte. She got so assertive at about a month, I had to make another brooder for her. When the other five went outside in their coop, I could only put her in an hour a day then her aggressiveness would accelerate. I slowly increased her integrated time and now she is with her sisters full time.
Don't give up. To think that I was ready to cull her, and now she is a beautiful pullet!

I had a hen that turned out to be a bully. I tried chicken jail a couple of times but she was still a bully. Finally everytime I saw her jump on and wail away on one of the pullets I squirted her with a hose. She eventually got the message or was getting tired of being squirted and decided it just wasn't worth it.
Don't give up. To think that I was ready to cull her, and now she is a beautiful pullet!
