We are new to chicken raising and here is our flock..

Two black australorps (3 months)
Three light brahmas (3 months)
One rhode island red (almost 4 months)
One golden laced wyandotte (almost 5 months)
One barred rock (almost 5 months)

We also have two roos-wyandotte and barred rock.

We just found three eggs all layed in the same area of the coop (not in the nest box!) two were brown as expected and then we had one white egg!! Not light brown or pink but pure white.
As far as I know all of these breeds are supposed to lay brown eggs. Is there any variation in the color? I have read that its in their genes and its not possible but all of the birds seem to be purebreds-textbook markings etc. Any suggestions? Were thinking its the two older girls-the barred rock or the wyandotte that have laid-but this white egg is throwing us for a loop!!

Also-any suggestions on how to find out who it is?

Thanks for any tips!!
