Surprise from the hatchery

Hi folks!

This little bantam hen came from Cackle Hatchery in a "hatchery choice" mix. The feed store had no idea what it was. I originally thought it was a frizzle cochin but the feathers are not curling. Anyone have any idea what this one is? Or maybe it's a "mutt".

That's some funky feathering. Looks like a mottled D'Uccle.

Mottled D'uccle. Mine looks a little fluffier but close enough. I'll try to catch a picture of her when I get home.

Ok - I can see the mottle color and the d'uccle shape. I can't get beyond the funky feathering - she always looks greasy.
Funny thing too - the hatchery doesn't sell mottled d'uccle, only porcelain, self-blue, & mille fleur. I'm thinking she's a d'uccle crossed with something.
