Well I have 4 LF EE eggs 1 bantam lavander ameracuna and 2 mf d in my brinsea that are were sapose to hatch the first and the second . 2 of the LF EE hatched yesterday and so far nothing from the rest . So Im sitting here reading backyard chickens and I hear a newborn peep ... I look at my brinsea Nothing no pips nada and it seemed to be comeing from the other sided of the room so I send my son to the other bator and he starts yelling one hatched one hatched.. The jumbo brown I got from another byc that were sapose to hatch sunday are hatching. I now have two out and two more pipped. So I have laties in one bator and earlies in another ... why are babies so against being on time lol.

You are not complaining are you?

Congratulations on your new baby!

LOL no I am not complaining I love babies. I just didnt get to lock them down so the humidity is only about 48 % in there I hope they do ok . I had forgotton how tiny and cute my little jumbo browns are when they hatch mine are big fatsos now.

I wish sometimes they'd stay so small and cute! When I incubated eggs second time round I opened the incubator to turn the eggs for the last time and found a chick, already dried off, patiently waiting to be discovered!

I came home to 3 babies and one in the middle of hatching and one zipping I know have 5 babies in there and two eggs pipped , one that was pipped when the first one hatched this morning so Im not sure whats going on with that one quail tend to just pop out once they are ready to hatch unlike chickens that can wait and sit for a day first on occasion . One little yellow one so far and one thats darker on top and looks like it might have a yellowish belly O.o . then the rest seem pretty standard stripe ies

Congrats

Hope the rest of them and the quail hatch too!

10 out of the 12 quail eggs have hatched so far . Only the 2 LF EE made it out of all the other eggs I tossed the rest after candleing them , Looks like they quit right after I candled them the last time befor lockdown.

Bummer. At least you got a lot of quail now

I will pull the last to quail eggs today. Then My single lone silkie egg wil be all by its self in the bator. She was alive and kicking last time I checked she is due to hatch in a few days.

Fingers crossed
