I have a Malay and yes there not the best layers but if she gos broody slip the eggs to her and use her as a foster mom.. I think there the best hens for careing for there young..

AH...I was wondering about that! Perfect...I was planning on getting some Ameraucanas so if we decide to hatch our own that would be a great way to do it. We're definitely keeping them...I'm just going to have to watch the roo and make sure he stays as sweet as he has been so far. I understand that Malays can be aggressive=)
