Surrogate Mom?

Anyone do this in the incubator or the brooder or both? Just wondering if it keeps them a little quieter. Thanks in advance!

A hen strange to the chicks ie - if she didn't hatch them is dangerous to chicks. Once mine are three weeks old I put a roo in with them, he keeps the arguments and scuffles down to zero!

I wasn't very clear...I meant a stuffed animal actually.

Wouldn't work in the incubator, but I have used little plush toys in the brooder when I had only two, three, or four chicks or ducklings. They love their "binky." It's a great idea.
