Survey; Breeds of crossbeaked chicks

I read studies from 1929 and 1934 about the breeds that most often get scissors beak. While Ameraucaunas are not
listed reference is made to "rumpless breeds." I am curious
as to what breeds BYCers have had with beak deformities.

I have had
(so far) 2 Ameraucnas and one Amer/Bufff Orp mix.

I had 1 BLRW chick that started developing crossbeak at 1 week of age.

Two golden laced polish from different hatcheries. Both starting showing signs at a couple weeks old.

One cornish cross and one EE here. The cross took a week or two to show, the EE was obvious day one.

I had a black sex link rooster that hatched with one eye and cross beak. I often wondered if the rooster was inbred to much. I was told that it is best to breed offspring to parents but not brother and sister to each other, because of the issues of imperfection and cross beak is one of the issues resulting from breeding brother to sister.

We bought 5 hatchery EE's/Ameraucanas from our local feed store about 2 weeks ago. One is just now starting to show signs of crossbeak.

I had a little salmon Faverolle roo that had a severe cross beak.

I had a hatchery EE with crossbeak that had to be culled

Didn't present really....it was only slightly present/hardly even noticeable at 2 days old. 6 weeks tho it just REALLY became noticeable and bad, and by week 7 it was terrible

Think it was partially to do with the growth spurt they do at that age too...but it really almost seemed it popped out of nowhere.
