Hi everyone. There's very little research on bumblefoot in ducks, which can be frustrating for those of us who are trying to understand and treat it in our own flocks.

I have created a two part survey to try to learn more about bumblefoot in ducks. The questions are intended to help identify possible causes, and analyze treatment options. I think the surveys will help us all to understand bumblefoot more; I plan on sharing the results here so be sure to subscribe to this thread if you are interested.

If your ducks have had bumblefoot, please take both part 1 and part 2 of the survey.

Please participate even if your ducks have not had bumblefoot... it will help me to compare the two groups (those with bumblefoot and those without) to see what could be making a difference. You only need to take part 1 of the survey if your ducks haven't had bumblefoot.

The more participation we get, the more reliable and dependable the results will be.

Thank you!

P.S. Bumblefoot is defined for this study as an infection in the foot usually caused by staph bacteria entering into small cracks, cuts, scrapes, bruises, or other abrasions on the foot. The infection may result in one or more of the following symptoms; limping, sitting more than normal, reluctance to walk, swelling in the heal or toes, black dots or scabs, affected area is warm to the touch, etc.
