Hey everyone!

I am currently doing an experiment, and am asking some questions to see what others think about music. If you could answer a few questions, I would appreciate it! :)

What kind of music do you listen to? List a style or two, artist, and a song!

Do you think the music you listen to affects you in any way?

If 'yes' to the last question, how so?

(for the older folks) Are you glad you listened to the music you did when you were younger? Or do you wish you would have listened to something else?

Do songs you listen to constantly replay in your head? If so, is it a help or a hindrance?

PLEASE NOTE- Don't post links to any songs on YouTube/other media platforms. If someone asks for a song, send it over a private message. Thanks! :)
Also, I probably won't be replying a whole bunch...So don't expect too many replies from me. ;) I want to say ahead of time 'THANK YOU' and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts! :)

What kind of music do you listen to? 80s hard rock and metal, oldies. Skidrow, The Threat. Buddy Holly, Rave On

Do you think the music you listen to affects you in any way? Yes

If 'yes' to the last question, how so?It gives me comfort when I'm upset and drives me when I'm happy. It also brings back memories and inspires me

(for the older folks) Are you glad you listened to the music you did when you were younger? Or do you wish you would have listened to something else? I've listened to Oldies (50s/60s rock since I was a kid in the 80s and O still enjoy it now and am glad I was exposed to it young. The 80s and 90s metal and rock were new when I listened to them as a kid and teen and I'm glad I did. My one regret musically is the few years I wasted on grunge in the 90s

Do songs you listen to constantly replay in your head? If so, is it a help or a hindrance? No. Usually songs randomly pop into my head and constantly replay. The only way I get them to stop is by going on YouTube and listening to them lol

What kind of music do you listen to? List a style or two, artist, and a song!: I have a lot of 70's/80's rock on my list of favourites, though there are plenty of exceptions. I like classical music as well, though I wouldn't say I have much of a preference by composer. Bon Jovi, Queensryche, Elvis, Survivor, Enya, Mannheim Steamroller; they're all on said list. Current favourite song would be Zombie by The Cranberries. Absolutely stellar instrumentals that mesh perfectly with the vocals. Depending on what part I listen most closely to, it's like a whole different song. Mr. Blue Sky by ELO is another current favourite.

Do you think the music you listen to affects you in any way?: Hm. No, I don't think so. I enjoy music from a technical perspective.

If 'yes' to the last question, how so?:

(for the older folks) Are you glad you listened to the music you did when you were younger? Or do you wish you would have listened to something else? Music, other than classical music, wasn't a big part of my life when I was young, so I wouldn't say I have any regrets. I still play my own music more than I listen to CDs or tapes.

Do songs you listen to constantly replay in your head? If so, is it a help or a hindrance? Oh, all the time. It gets a bit irritating now and then. I can even get Beethoven's symphonies stuck in my head on occasion.

FINALLY AN EXCUSE TO SHARE MY MUSIC

What kind of music do you listen to? I listen to a variety, but I like strange, uncommon sounds (I especially love rock music that's hard to pin down to a specific genre). Favorite bands are Modest Mouse (fave song is Doin' the Cockroach), Nine Inch Nails, Aqua (hit me with that Doctor Jones~), Franz Ferdinant (song: Lucid Dreams), Marriages (Album: "Kitsune" slaps), Primus (Blue Collar T****ers, John The Fisherman), Ministry (Everydfay is Halloween, The Land of R*** and Honey), Bloodhound Gang (Mope, Inevitable Return of the Great White Dope, Right Turn Clyde), Lady gaga (Telephone, Alejandro). A lot of oldies (favorites: September by Earth Wind and Fire, California Dreaming). JJBA music! I Want You by Savage Garden, Roundabout, P**** Control by Prince. Rage by Hyper Crush, Little Secret by Passion Pit, Parabol + Parabola and Wings for Marie parts 1 and 2 by Tool. Incubus, Pink Floyd... SOOOO many more songs, bands, and albums to list, but I'll stop here :)

Do you think the music you listen to affects you in any way?
Yeah probably. Definitely affects my mood

If 'yes' to the last question, how so?

Gives me more energy

(for the older folks) Are you glad you listened to the music you did when you
were younger? Or do you wish you would have listened to something else?

Is 27 older? I listened to a lot of Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance as a teen. Wish I had enjoyed more of the older bands I like now back then so I could have made more friends, but at the same time I still like some of what I used to listen to.

Do songs you listen to constantly replay in your head? If so, is it a help or a hindrance?

Yes, and it's a hinderance. It's ALWAYS the most annoying cr*p and it kills me lol
