"That would be awesome, thanks" Arrow replied gratefully "It gets hard hunting on my own sometimes" He smiled and took the lead toward the elk herd
Nova replied,"No problem," and trotted after him.
Arrow slowed down and scented the air. He pricked his ears and continued a bit further south
Nova quietly followed beside him. Her pelt pricked with anticipation for the hunt.
Arrow sped up a bit then stopped at the edge of a clearing, where there was a small herd of elk. He quickly spotted a sick old bull and crept further around the bushes to get a better look
Nova spotted the old bull too. She followed him, but stopped a few feet behind him and watched.
Arrow crept a bit closer, trying hard not to make any noise. He glanced at Nova, and crept closer again to the elk
Nova moved forward and positioned herself so if the elk took off, she would be able to flank its side and try to slow it down.
Arrow stalked around the side of it, then started moving in
Nova waited for him to attack first. She intently watched the elk.
