Quote: "Haha, I may not look it, but I feel old right now, all stiff!" she laughed as she took the lead, her silvery merle tail waving in the air as she went. She glanced back at Mystery and smiled joyfully. Oh, how she loved him! She couldn't imagine life without him, now that she thought about it.

Saffron chuckled. "Don't worry about it, boy. I'll do all I can for her, okay?" Saffron said, again seeming to mind-read Mantis. She smiled and her amber eyes twinkled as she did. She had the feeling Mantis had known this she-dog for quite some time...

Mantis nodded to her, looking hopeful. Saffron was a good medical dog. After all, she had brought Viridian back from the brink! He relaxed further as he detected the Chroma pack border. Nearly there... He hoped the wounded she-dog would like Chroma pack.

Mystery followed happily, his energy renewed not only by the meal they had just had, but just by being there with Dixie. His life had been so much darker up until then, and he never wanted to go back. Catching up to her side, Mystery gave her an affectionate nudge on the cheek as they walked, just basking in the happiness he felt being there with her.

Saffron continued walking and finally saw her den up ahead. "Alright, turn here and follow me to my den," she ordered, clearly used to bossing others around, as she did so freely.

Mantis obeyed her silently, carefully following her instructions and waiting for her to enter her den first. The she-dog shifted a little on his back, and he looked back at her with some concern, though he offered her a reassuring smile as he did. Following Saffron into the den, he waited patiently for the medical dog to tell him where he could lay the wounded she-dog down.

Quote: Dixie finally reached the spot she wanted to talk to Mystery at. Sitting down, she took in the scenery: they were in a garden, the kind that sat in front of a bank. It was Sunday, so the bank was closed, therefore making the perfect spot for she and Mystery to talk in silence. She waited for him to sit down before asking him, though her tail wagged with anxiety and her eyes gleamed with joy; it was clear that her question was a big one.
