Arch was sent sprawling into the dirt. Realizing that it was over for him, he began to plead for mercy instead. "No, please, Alpha, please no!" he howled, eyes wide.
Everest grinned, sitting down. "That was such fun." he commented, chuckling. "What do you think I should do, Almaz?" he asked, his tail wagging ever so slightly.

"Kill him!" Almaz said angrily, glaring down at the dog. Another dog ran between Arch and Everest. "Please, Alpha, don't kill him!" she begged, her eyes filled with tears.
"Why not?" Everest snarled, leaning down into her space. "Why shouldn't I kill you both?" he sneered, curling his lip.

(Can I make a dog for their pack?)

"Because... Because... Because he is..." the she-dog stammered. "Please, he is a very good hunter! He can even catch prey from other territories by luring them to him... Like the Pied Piper." she said.
"Oh please." Everest scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Almaz, is what she is saying true?" he regarded the pleading she-dog with the utmost disgust, curling his lip when his eyes met her's.

Almaz's expression had changed briefly. "Yes," she said calmly. "Yes, it is true, now that I remember him." she said coolly. "Maybe we should let him live..."
"Or maybe not." Everest snarled, shoving away the she-dog and looking directly into Arch's face. "This won't happen again..... will it?" he spat, daring him to say opposite.

"Sure am," Taj replied enthusiastically, rolling to his paws at last. Shaking off a bit, he trotted out of the water and sat on the shore near Sylver. "So what's goin' on?" he asked, having noticed her rather thoughtful expression before, and how thin she had gotten lately.

Sylver's smile dulled at his question, clearly not wanting to explain. "Oh, um, nothing Taj, I've just been thinking... about how scarce prey has been." she twisted her lips at this, furrowing her brows.

Taj nodded grimly at that, looking away momentarily. But Taj did not like to dwell on things that would only get him down, and pushing the hardships of the pack from his mind, an idea formed in his mind. Springing to his paws again, he grinned to Sylver. "I know what you need, Sylv! You need a day of fishing!" Motioning for her to follow, he started toward the water. "Nothing cheers a dog up like fishing!" he barked happily, his paws itching to be in the water again.
