Quote: ((It's okay, I was just thinking about her since the current picture of the week looks so much like she did. I didn't expect that it would upset me quite so much, though.

Anyway, we're getting some storms, too, and the only internet I have at the moment is on my cell phone, but I will try to reply.

Just keep in mind that it might take me forever to type posts on this little screen.))
(You must have been very attached...

We are getting more tornados out here...)

((Yes, she was very special to all of us here.

And oh dear! Hope you all stay safe!

I have a post typed up, but it isn't letting me post it. So, well, if it multi-posts, sorry in advance. :/ ))

Dixie followed after Mystery, Jade and Raven in tow. "YEs, I agree. Let's go," she said with a small smile.

Mystery smiled as his family started after him, turning and heading for the mines. He chuckled as Minty hopped along beside him, trying to keep her steps in time with his. Clearly too small to do so, she moved her attention to a fly that buzzed around them as they walked.

Mint came to an abrupt stop when that fly buzzed way up in the air and she ran into her mother while chasing it. Fortunately, Mystery had stopped as well, for they had reached the mines.

"Morado!" Mystery called into the opening to the mines. "Is it safe for the kids to come in?"

For a few moments, there was no response. At last, Morado's voice echoed from deep within the mines. "C'mon in and make yourselves at home! I'll be there in a minute!"

Nodding, Mystery looked to Dixie. With a look of excitement (which could not compare to Mint's, but was worth noting nonetheless), he motioned for his family to enter first.

Come, we will be safer in the den," he said finally, his voice comforting. He nuzzled her cheek, reminding her that he would protect her and their future pups with his life.
Ella nodded and followed, her tail swaying side to side in nervousness.

Taz gave her a worried glance. "How are you feeling?
Ella nodded. "Fine," she said calmly.

Taz nodded, and lay down in his nest. He lay his head on his paws, and glanced up at Ella, smiling.

Quote: Raven howled with glee and leaped into the den, her tiny black tail naught but a blur in the air as it wagged. Jade followed, smiling. He had been more talkative that day and looked as though he might finally catch up with his sisters in growth. Dixie went after the pups, giving Mystery a small lick on the cheek as she passed him. She couldn't believe that just a few months before she'd been single and aggressive, pursing nothing... And now she was a mother with pups and a mate, spending her life with the love of her life.

Celeste padded up to Mystery and yelped, "Hey, hey, bro! Long time, no see, and the kids are getting so big!" His tail was wagging as he leaned down and bumped noses with Raven, smiling as the tiny pup squealed in delight and placed both front paws on his muzzle.

(Timeskip to after the pups are born?)

(Mk! Brb...)

Raven howled with glee and leaped into the den, her tiny black tail naught but a blur in the air as it wagged.

Mystery, his heart fluttering with joy, followed Dixie into the mine, feeling as if he was walking on clouds. And then he heard Celeste's voice, and he came back to Earth, smiling to his friend. "Boy, aren't they," he replied, admiring the three pups as they waited excitedly for their surprise. "They're two months old today. Morado's got a gift for them," he added, smiling fondly as Minty went running in circles until she reached the two of them.

As if just noticing him, Minty gasped. "Unka Celeste!" she squeaked, taking a flying leap at the blue-eyed collie.

Watching, Mystery chuckled, then looked away suddenly as Morado appeared, a plastic bag in his maw. Through the clear plastic, there were several dog toys visible; a squeaky bone, a textured ball, and some sort of plush chew toy. "Here we go," Morado said, dumping the toys onto the floor there. "Look at these kids!" he added with a chuckle as the toys rolled to a halt at his feet.

Abandoning her endeavor to conquer Celeste, Minty yipped happily and ran for the toys. "Ball!" she barked, tackling it and sending it rolling across the floor. "Yaaay!" And she went running after it.

Mystery admired the toys, nodding his head as he did. "Where did you find these?"

"Bottom of the pile," Morado replied, grinning proudly. "Still in their wrappers, practically brand new!"

"Nice," replied Mystery, looking to Dixie to see if she approved.

Celeste nodded, then looked at Minty as he heard her joyous exclamation. Pretending to fall to the ground at her "attack", he mock-pleaded for mercy until she scampered off, rather unexpectedly. He grinned, figuring Morado was back, then heard the fellow Digger's voice and that confirmed his suspicions. With a chuckle, he rose to his feet and walked towards the dog. His blue eyes rested on the pups at play and he chuckled.

Raven skittered up to the squeaky toy, sniffed it suspiciously, placed her jaws gingerly around it, then yanked it sharply back, slinging it about, her little puppy teeth sinking into the rubber. It finally flew from her grasp and whirled across the room, nearly hitting Mystery, barely missing him and flying past his ears.

Dixie looked at him with a defeated expression and chuckled. "Okay, I admit it: he seems like a trustworthy guy... I just don't trust him around me..." she said, casting a wary glance at him. She knew even the most loyal of dogs could easily be corrupted by their own desires and she didn't want to take her chances with Morado, or any males, for that matter.

(I stayed awake all night long last night! And I'ma try and do it again, too! >:D It's just strangely magical, in a way... To be up from the moment the sun sets to the moment it changes from pitch black to streaked pink...)
