"Just to a few places that I know has food, as well as to grab a few things for the den." Jargo replied, taking a step out of the den. "Why?"

"Just wanted to know where you would be." Harli answered. "I have a strange feeling in my gut." she walked inside and laid down in her nest."Just to a few places that I know has food, as well as to grab a few things for the den." Jargo replied, taking a step out of the den. "Why?"

Harli watched him go, let out a sigh, and slipped into a light sleep.
Raven's eyes were big and round with fright as she walked after Minty, though she didn't trot in that same confident pace that her scheming sister did. Pushing away her anxiety as a feeling of awe swept over her, her little jaw dropped at the sight of the massive junk heap. Seeing Minty start the climb, she hesitantly began to clamber up after her.
(Scarlet's so much more confident, now!)
Dixie walked along the side of the deep incline, staring down in shock and fright. How horrifying it would be if one of the others fell in, she thought. She started imagining worst-case scenarios, very much against her will, as she wasn't generally the one to do so. As she walked after Russet, who had gently, gingerly brushed past her, one of her scenarios came to life.
She felt her paws slip and she scrabbled and clawed for a grip on the concrete ground, but not to much help. Finally, she found a grip on the smooth ground and hauled herself halfway up, where she then towed her weight up the rest of the way, to safety. Feeling like a dunce, nearly falling in right after Scarlet's warning, she drooped her ears and hung her head.
Quote: Raven stared at her in shock. She hadn't expected Minty to actually go through with her plan. "Are you cwazy?" she hissed in fright. "What if the Affla sees us here?" Stepping up into the den after her adventurous sister, she looked around with her big, brown eyes.
Dixie nodded and was about to reply when she heard Mystery's cry of surprise. Looking in, almost in unison with Russet, who leaped to the side so quickly he nearly fell in, she scoured the bottom and was about to say she didn't see anything when she saw it: a reddish she-dog. As she processed Scarlet's hurried orders, she instinctively looked around and took a step towards a building. She could feel herself shaking, not from the scare of nearly falling in, but from the excitement and panic she felt in the situation.
Looking around, she saw nothing that could be of use and she could feel the sensation of urgency welling in her heart. This dog might die if they didn't do something fast. Everything was silent for a brief few moments. The Russet spoke. "We could use this rope." he pawed at a rope. It was a thick, plastic rope, bright yellow in color. "One of us could jump down in the pit and then the rest of us could tow him and the she-dog out. We could bite down on it and the rest of you could drag us up," he suggested.
Russet was not one for ideas, so this was a surprising moment for the group. Dixie broke the second period of silence. "Russet, you're a genius!" she exclaimed. Then her brows furrowed and her gaze swept the other dogs, as if searching them. "But, who would go? If we don't have another idea, I mean,"
(Sorry that took so long. I was racking my brain for an idea!)![]()
Raven hissed to Mint, "See, I told ya she would catch us," though she'd never really said anything of the sort. She stepped in and looked at Cerise. Her paws crossed over each other and her head hung, though her eyes rolled up to look at the Alpha. "H-hello," she mumbled back. How she wished she could just hide herself in her daddy's fur! Maybe this wasn't such a great idea after all!Minty boldly trotted into the den, looking around. It was dark, and her eyes would need time to adjust. She looked back over her shoulder at Raven as she continued into the den, not really watching where she was going. "Relax, the affla's busy! No way is she in here!"
Unfortunately, Minty was wrong. Cerise was in her den, deep in thought. Though she carried on with her duties, she had not really felt worthy of her position since the day that Steel, Cyan, and Teal attempted to take over the pack. She was helpless against those bigger, stronger males. She sighed lightly. What she really needed now was to pick a Beta to help take some of the weight off her shoulders. She had been hesitant for months, though, as she relived the horror of Steel, her past Beta, following her into the den with that threatening look on his face...
But her thoughts were drawn to the present as a young voice echoed into her den. Her reddish-brown gaze moving to the owner of that voice, she raised a brow. What was Mint doing up here? Her eyes moved further to the den opening, falling on Raven, who looked like she was not as eager to come in. Mint trotted toward Cerise, and she was not really paying much attention. A smile crossed Cerise's maw. She couldn't help it. These pups, for just this moment, allowed her mind to be at ease.
"May I help you?" she asked, watching as Mint jumped in fright and looked up at her in horror. Speechlessly, the pup's jaws opened and closed, and she took one step back.
"Don't worry, child. I'm not mad," Cerise assured her. The Alpha then looked toward Raven. "Come in, don't be shy."
Mystery considered this plan for a moment. He would be glad to be the one to jump in after the she-dog, but he was the biggest dog in the patrol. How would they ever haul him AND another dog up out of that pond? He shook his head. "I can't," he replied.
Mantis snorted. "It won't be me, either," he said somewhat snippily. He had already rescued one she-dog--the ingrate she was!--and he was not going through that again. He turned his nose away, though in doing so, he spotted something else that could work in an open garage across the street from where they were. Silently, he headed toward it, not seeming to care if anyone noticed.
