"I think this one can go to Doggy Heaven today." the man said, laughing. Then, in a more sinister voice, he added, "Or, maybe, Doggy Hell!"

Kira didn't know what he was saying, but heard his tone of voice. She resumed her barking, and slammed into the cage again.

Blue, Domino, Kage, Hook, Thunder, and Flint milled around.

 

[Wintent]

The man looked at her. "Shut up!" he yelled, kicking the kennel, creating a loud clatter. 

Okami growled and snapped at him through the bars.

Mutt didn't understand the man. "Doggy Heaven? What's that?" he thought to himself. Then, he noticed a large GSDX getting dragged across the slick floor. The dog was howling, and begging for mercy. The man dragging him said "C'mon, old fella. Don't worry, next stop is Heaven. Just let us kill ya first, and you'll be happier than you've ever been."

Okami growled and snapped at him through the bars.

The man kicked her as she reached the fence.

Another pound man said, "Alright, let's feed them, then we can open the doors to their runs and they can just sit their happy butts outside."

Okami yipped as it hit her face stumbling back.

Kira understood what the dog was crying about. "Euthanasia.." She murmured, and slammed against the cage hard, trying the bend the bars.

Swampson stood defensively, growling low in his throat toward the dogs that had chosen to ignore him.

"Down, Henry," the man he stood by said, placing a hand on the elderly dog's shoulders. Swampson rolled his eyes, but obliged, sitting once more.

The man nodded to the other, but looked toward Kira with some hesitance. "Why don't we let them calm down a bit first, eh? Some quiet time ought to do them some good."
