Banner closed his eyes, his head jerked back trying to handle the pain. "I...." He gasped. "You... Jargo.... I.... did noth.... nothing." Banner panted, blood streaming over his eyes in little rivets. He was losing blood fast, and was fighting the urge to faint, because if he did, Jargo would surely kill him. "I'll j.... join you.... again... but not.... because I ga..... gave up."

Jargo grinned wickedly, and commanded Rex to drag Banner back to the dens. Rex nodded, and gently took his friend's scruff in his jaws and pulled him back to the dens.

His only friend is Banner. That's the only dog he cares about. That's why he is being kind to Banner.

Banner yelped as Rex's teeth closed around his scruff. He watched Jargo's face as he was dragged away. Then he gave in to the pressing darkness, and slipped into unconsciousness.

Rex whispered "It's okay. I won't hurt you." he pulled Banner into the old pack's den, and put his head on a small baby blanket. "Here. Rest." he said.
 
Hex looked at Blue, trying to figure out what Blue's mood was right now. Blue was very hard to figure out, so he decided to go and interact. "That Jargo character... You just let him go... why? You could have killed him. You should have killed him, Boss." Hex said.

Rex licked Banner's wounds, and gently straightened out his leg. "It's broken, alright. It'll take months to heal..." he said, nervously. "It may get infected..." he said, even more worried after glancing at the bone protruding through the skin.

Banner yelped in pain, and panted. "I know. Rex... I'll die, even though Jargo didn't kill me. I'll die a slow painful death just like he said! Rex, keep him away from me....don't let him get near me!" Banner's words hardly made sense. His eyes were blood-shot, and wild.
