Rex laid down beside her, and looked at her, with his face level to hers. "Is it the pups?" he asked, nervous. What was he supposed to do? What comfort could he give? What should he say? These weren't his pups; he really had no right to stay when she was having them... but, he did. He stayed with her.

Endigo flipped over, and gasped for breath as the air was knocked out of him. He cowered underneath Buck, who towered above him.

Jargo took a bite of the rabbit, and grinned. The meat was sweet and tender, and juicy as well. "Harli, go on, have a bite; it's delicious!" he said, grinning.

Melanie shook her head. "I don't know." She gasped.

Buck advanced, snarling. "You watch your actions bud." He curled his lip.

Harli took a timid bite and smiled. "Spring is coming." She whispered.
 
Everst paced the border, blood streaming from his neck. Anger pulsed through him, his eyes blazing. He lifted his head and howled his anger to NegroPack. "I'LL GET YOU ALL!! ONE DAY JARGO! YOU'LL SEE!"

Rex stayed, despite feeling akward and uncomfortable, he stayed. For some reason, he felt that Melanie needed him.

"And you watch your's!" Endigo retorted, lunging up at Buck's neck.

"A good time for pups?" Jargo asked, hopeful. He, too, wanted a family, and pups to call his own.

Rex and Jargo both heard this. Jargo snickered, and rose to his feet.

"OH YEAH?! YOU AND WHAT PACK?!" Jargo howled. Endigo grinned. He knew Everest was fit to be the Pack's new leader, until he got back to the pack. He let out a low howl, for Everest's ears only. It was too low for Buck to hear, yet perfect for Everest. And the message was clear: Everest was to be the new Alpha.

Melanie let out constant painful whines. Her eyes were shut tight. It didn't feel like the pups were coming, but she didn't know what else it could be.

Harli looked up at him, beaming. "Mh hm!" She yipped.

Everest froze stalk stiff. His eyes were huge. He shook his head, wondering if he had heard right.... yes, he had. Turning away, he began to walk clumsily back to camp.

Rex just stayed with her. "Shh. It's... it's okay." he said, doing the best he could to reassure her.

Jargo smiled. (I don't know how long we can keep doing random stuff between them... XD They've been mingling like this for a while!
