Rex saw Jargo, and his blood ran cold. Banner was his friend. He raced up to Jargo. "Alpha, may I ask what you are doing to Banner?" he asked.

Jargo looked at Rex. "I'm fixing to kill him... why do you ask?"

Rex sighed. "Wouldn't it be better if you just banished him?" Rex asked. "Then he could be humiliated and have to live with that. Plus, I'm sure he'll die from that broken leg." Rex said, gesturing to Banner's leg.

Banner's vision was fuzzy, he couldn't make out Rex's words and they sounded garbled. "Rex!" He gasped, barely making a sound. He struggled for air, and his eyes were wild with fear.

Jargo decided that Rex's idea was okay, and he swung his head back and threw Banner away from him. As soon as Banner hit the ground, he went running at him, snarling.
