Endigo went back to the den and gave a howl. All the Golden Pack dogs appeared before him. "Nessa, my dear mate, has just told me the news..." he howled, "We are going to have pups! They are on the way!" he heard the excited gasps from the dogs. "That means we will need extra food, and she may need care!" Endigo finished his speech and returned to the den.

Jargo grinned and walked forward. He looked at Harli, grinning, impressed. He stood over Banner for a second, enjoying this undisputed moment. "Isn't this grand?" he said, a wicked happiness eminent on his face, as he strutted about in front of the poor, crippled, dog. "I mean, I am standing before one of my pack members and he isn't resisting at all! Why, this is the best behavior I've seen you in."

The hint of sarcasm in Jargo's voice faded, and he said, in his normal voice, "Let him go, Harli.", and he looked straight at Banner. "Let's not make this mistake again, Banner. It could be your throat Harli gets next!" And with that, he turned and strode away, Harli at his side.

Quote: Nessa grinned and watched Endigo's joyful dance. "Wonderful indeed!"

Nessa happily followed endigo amid the congratulations.

Endigo softened a little. He was nervous about her, but he just pushed it away. "Thank you, Sedna." he said.

(I know. I was debating whether or not to write that. But I think it puts an interesting twist on Harli and Jargo's "relationship".)

Harli looked over her shoulder with a smug smirk look on her face. Banner's eyes were closed, and his front legs trembled with the effort of standing.
