Rex thought fast. If they found out that these pups were from Banner, they'd kill the pups and the mother. He knew they might kill him for saying this, but he said it anyways. "Yes..." he looked at Melanie. "Please hear me out: you can do whatever you wish with me. I won't resist, I will do your bidding, whatever it be, if you'll just let her and the pups go." Tears streamed down his face. "I-I love her."

Jargo heard the commotion, and entered the den. "Harli, what's going on here?" he snarled.
