Duckie trudged through the thick undergrowth that littered the forest floor, searching for any signs of her lost companions. Noticing nothing she considered crying out so they could hear her but she thought of all the unfamiliar creatures that might stalk the woods looking for a meal, a hunger a loud little chick might satisfy.

Cheyenne went deeper and darker into the woods when she heard a wolf howl. Cheyenne got really scared. She found a plant and ate it. it tasted really good. she found a place to hide and sleep. "aah", Cheyenne said to herself.

As Duckie carefully stepped her way through the thick undergrowth something thin and whispy caught her eye. She ran toward it with her and noticed a large stalk of grass, it still had a few grains attached. Ravenously she pecked at the small seeds, squeaking in content when she had finished.
