Sorry in advance about the black chick pics. I have 5 of them and taking pictures of each I got them confused. Your best guess is as good as mine. These chicks are 6 or 7 week old EEs. I was told EE roos wont be a solid color so I'm wondering if any of these look like a roo. At first I thought they all were bc they all developed faster than the rest of the chicks. The comb doesnt look very red to me but some of them are bigger than others. I know with EEs the pea comb is not always the gender rule.
Also I have this little white-gray-black one that is the smallest of the group but he's supposed to be the same age. His tail feathers stick straight up but he's not really developing a noticeable comb.
Lastly, the chick with the red shoulders also has straight up tail feathers and I hear red shoulders are most commonly roos. I'd like to thin out my flock of extra roos as soon as possible so I'm being a little impatient.

Nothing is jumping out as suspicious. It’s too early to really tell at 5-6 weeks. Around 12 weeks you’ll start to see saddle feathers, but before that you may begin to see comb differences. Hopefully all female.
