Suspect internal layer/egg yolk peritonitis: would antibiotics help?

Getting my hen to a zoo vet and having him drain her abdomen of some of the fluid, and then giving our hen Baytril for 10 days, saved her life.
Catch it early, and get your hens to someone who can drain most of the fluid off and prescribe an appropriate dose of Baytril. We also alternated probiotic in the a.m. with Baytril in the p.m. and we gave our hen a high protein diet of bugs, worms, grass, and left over fish from dinner (no bones/seasoning).
Our hen no longer lays eggs but is still alive over a year later........
