Susquehanna Poultry Show Mar. 20,2011!!!!

Brody's Broodello :

Just an update, entries need to be postmarked by the 10th for those who are showing.

I am trying to figure out what we are bringing to show and sell....*sigh* I can't believe the show's almost here already!!! I'll be sending Kay our entries today or tomorrow.

Sent in my entry today! Yeah yeah I know, last minute...but it will be postmarked by the 10th, goshdarnit!

I'm bringing about 7 birds--all Dutch, all of my Polish are in breeding pens so none of them are in any kind of decent condition--a few less than I took to Delmarva last weekend.

I might have a few sale birds, but I can't decide. I am down to the birds I want in my breeding pens now, but I've also got a couple of full incubators, so...I should really see if there's any more birds I can let go!

ETA: Oh lookie there!

<----- I magically got a BYC award. Fun. I didn't know they were doing that. 4 years? I've been hanging around here for awhile.

5 Belgian Bearded Quail D'Anvers, 2 Light Brown SC Leghorns LF, 5 Silkies (Buff, Partridge, White, and Grey), and one lone Blue Cochin LF.... i will have for sale 2 Silkies Cockerels (a blue and a partridge) and 5 Corturnix (spelling?) Quail. See everyone there

Ok, if anyone is interested in a pair of large fowl white crested black Polish, I'll be bringing them to Susquehanna. I was holding these as "backup" but I am choosing not to breed them, though they both have some redeeming qualities so you could breed them if you're interested in working with them (looks like the pullet might develop spurs and the cockerel has positive white in the saddle area--I am not 100% if this is genetic or if it is from feather damage, as he was picked pretty badly in that area when he was in the juvenile pen. Both are nice birds otherwise.). They are about 8 months old and the pullet has been laying regularly. I'm asking $40.

Hey Everyone, I wanted to invite all you Marylanders to a swap Im organizing on the farm. It's going to be on June 18th and you can find the thread here https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=492984

and
here's our website http://mdpoultryswap.blogspot.com/

We've been having Chickenstocks at the local TSC for the past few years and our business has blown up. We sell out every time. I've been advertising like crazy for this one so, Im hoping for a much bigger turnout and I would great appreciate BYC support. Among everything else, we'll have a BYC VIP lounge
