Sussex Chickens

All breeds are the same. Three roosters to sixty hens.

As a rule a good ratio of hens to Rooster is 10 to 1. For Sussex alone, sorry I don't know how the color genetics would work out. It would be best if you asked on a Sussex thread.

In some breeds mixing in colors of parents could end up with birds that don't meet the SOP(standard of Perfection).

The maximum number of hens to roosters* for good fertility is generally considered to be 10:1. You can have more roosters if you have proper space and housing for them so they don't fight over the hens.
