To increase size in Speckled Sussex, could you use Silver or Light Sussex roosters over SS hens? What colors would you get?

I would use the LS cock as both the Spec. and LS are partridge based with columbian whereas the SS is birchen, which you will need to breed out, and has no columbian, which will have to be bred back in.
Put the best cock(s) back to th Spec.Sussex.

I've heard of crossing LS to Silver Sussex for LS split to Silver.
To increase the size of SS I would think crossing with Red Susses (as they are SS without the spots).

Just my $0.02 worth.
