Hi, just joined this board today and wanted to introduce myself. I have shown chickens in the past but got out of it during my boys teen years, horses and football seemed to take over.
Now I have a small flock of barred rock, and a small flock of Partrige cochen bantams. My Partrige are pretty good, the barred Cockral is showable, but the rest need work.
I joined the board to fnd local shows ( saw the on line shows humm gonna have to learn what thats about) and to meet other local breeders.

AWESOME! Could you set me up with some info on that? I only have one bird I think would do any good, but hey.. if it gets me off the computer LOL... I bet my son would have that day off too, would love to have a family outting.

Actually...my daughter is also a chicken nut!! We are going together. I don't plan to show anything but maybe in the future

Other shows close to you would include the Avoca show on Mother's Day weekend put on by the United Poultry Fanciers and the Cornhusker poultry Club, the Nebraska State Poultry Association Show in Lincoln the first weekend of Nov (which is Nov 1 this year), and a show in Sedalia, MO in both the spring and fall. Plus there are State fair shows as well.
