Just moved to SW Lincoln county in the last couple of months out in the country and on my own farm (38 acres).
One of my goals in moving out here was to get into chicken and egg raising. But, it had been a very long time since I had had fresh farm-raised eggs. So, I went looking and found two sources in my area. One has pen-kept chickens and the other are free range (there were several when I drove up to buy my first batch).
Now, after about 3 dozen eggs, I've become an egg snob (according to my wife).
So I'm here looking for info on getting started into chickens and egg raising.
Thanks,
The Lazy B Farm

and Welcome To BYC! Beautiful property! A great place to start reading is the BYC Learning Center, lots of good chicken keeping articles there
