Just moved to SW Lincoln county in the last couple of months out in the country and on my own farm (38 acres).

One of my goals in moving out here was to get into chicken and egg raising. But, it had been a very long time since I had had fresh farm-raised eggs. So, I went looking and found two sources in my area. One has pen-kept chickens and the other are free range (there were several when I drove up to buy my first batch).

Now, after about 3 dozen eggs, I've become an egg snob (according to my wife). :(

So I'm here looking for info on getting started into chickens and egg raising.

Thanks,

The Lazy B Farm

Nice green yard you have there from the looks of things you should have a low feed bill so If you really want some fresh egg's just go and get some chickens at your local feed store but BYC also has a Buy-Sell-Trade Forum and if you look in the Forum Nav follow it to the bottom of the list and you should be able to find it but to activate it you will need to have 20 post and this is easy enough to do by just saying hello to 20 New Members in the New Members Introduction
