Swan's Rooster.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm not sure if I will get him a friend. I am lucky to have a lot of free time so I spend several hours a day just hanging out with him. He likes to sit in my arms or jump up on my shoulder. Do I really need to get him a friend if we spend so much time together? Dam I love this little guy! hahahahaha
Welcome to BYC. I agree with @Two Crows that your boy will do just fine without another chicken companion, as long you spend 1plenty of time with him. In essence, You are his flock. Enjoy hanging out with him and watching him grow!

Hello Swan, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.

I vote to get that boy some girls. I used to have one dog. I spent all day with her when I wasn't at work. I thought her life was full. Until I got another dog for a companion when she was 9 years old and I watched how they interacted. I could NEVER take the place of that kind of intraspecific interaction that the two of them shared. I will always now have 2 dogs... and a FLOCK of chickens.

Welcome. Well I just have to say that I am so happy that you chose a rooster as a pet. I think roosters are so cool and they can be our best friend. Most roosters (in the commercial industry), do not even live 2-days. It makes me sick to my stomach and troubling of my soul for these sweet boys. If you keep him alone with you, he will be your best friend. Please know, that if you do get him any hens, your relationship will change with him because he will then be obligated to take on his role as the rooster of the flock.
