Swarm!

When I take my girls out - they are in thier run which is the lower part of an a frame coop. I have been putting the protective sides down so they get sunshine and plently of air.

We have this little Kestrel that always comes for a looksee - She never gets too close but is very aware that the chicks are out. I am not going to let them "free range" due to the kestrel. She enjoys sitting on the electrical wire and watching - probably thinking about how delicious they would be. My son really really wants to learn about falconing so he is amped each time she sees her - This Kestrel scares my cats - who are inside cats. She might be after the squirly squirles.

My neighbors free range their chickens and geese. Plenty of tasty morsels to entertain this beautiful little predator.

I have seen osprey too but never near our property.

When my big girls were around 2/3 months old, a Red Tailed hawk had been hanging around. Whenever they saw the hawk they would run for their covered run and coop. Just instinct.
