Well..i love my father and although the gamefowl sport is not my thing I am proud that he kept thus line of unique birds pure for so many years. He received the line from Sweater McGinnis. In the 1020s Daddy would handle these these chickens at the derby. Daddy was poor...but loved these birds. McGinnus left Daddy the line when he died much to the dismay of Mr. McGinnis friend. Daddy died 11 years ago at.age of 101. The way I heard daddy explain sweater greys...they were like what made a race horse competitive which he said was the Arabian part used to start thoroughbred horses. Sweater Greys did not quit. They were very beautiful and very cuddly to children. Very loyal. We helped with them on farm. Except the hens when they had chicks!
