So "if" you have an egg with a sort of gelatinous substance on the outside during the later days (18ish) of a hatch particularly for me anyway, after lock down and upping the humidity, that may look like this:








You'll find this inside: a partially developed chick that's gone very bad.




It's best to remove such an egg from the incubator, break it open (outside!) so it doesn't explode (someone suggested that such an egg 'might' do just that) in your nice clean incubator!
