Hi there. Depending on where they're being shipped to and the weather they may encounter. Warmth is paramount. Most are shipped air mail, that can get cold, heat packs may help but who really knows. Shipping chicks is stressful on them but I haven't had any losses yet but I only have 2 hatches / yr. I don't ship as much as others might since this is only a hobby and I love to offer the absolute best of this breed. Thanks so much for inquiring, Ally

Would you ever consider selling slightly older chicks? I'm looking for 2-3 of the breed, but might still be interested if a larger order is required.

Hello again, I have my 3 adults and there are 8 biddies (chicks, lol) left, they are still just 9 days old. I would actually feel better about mailing older chicks in a few mos. such a distance. Some of the farms, GreenFire, MM, or BJ's Poultry might be a better bet as far as shipping goes. Older birds can be sexed also and since they are rather costly you would want to know what you're getting though I bought str. run and was very lucky. I don't have anything of the age your looking for at the moment but I do want to keep these chicks until they're older. I plan to add these eventually. Just getting started, will have only Scandinavian breeds. We are in city limits, can not have roosters. I'm thinking ahead and wondering what I'll do when I get egg/chicks and they turn out to be roos??
