Swedish drake

My Swedish drake is flying two miles away to court a Peking duck. We have 2 female mallards that fight over him. I don't understand why he wants to leave them. Should I just leave him. I went and got him the first time, but he only stayed two days then flew back to the Peking duck. Now my girls are alone.

You can always clip his wings. Does someone own the peking?

The Peking is wild, and is with a large group. My two female mallards were always fighting over him. If he tried to mate with one the other would be right there pecking the female he was mating with. The pond he is going to is much larger than mine and in an open field. Mine is in the woods.

If I clip his wings, I will have to build a much better pen. My ducks are free range and are locked up at night in a dog kennel inside the garage.

My Swedish drake has two female mallards that do not give him a moments rest. If he breeds with one the other one throws a fit. We did have a third female that was too young to breed that he did not like, we gave her back to my uncle. It looks like I will have to build a secure pin to keep them in.
