hey guys! how long did it take for your swedish female to lay and egg? i have a pekin who has been laying for over a month now and nothing from the swedish! the swedish is almost a year old now... could it be a undercover male! hahahahaaa

My Swedish used to be laying by 5-7 months old. It just depends also on the time of year. If they reach that age like during the winter, they sometimes won't start until the day length is longer again in the Spring.

not really. lol hes got more of a body shape of a female. i mean its been about 40 degrees and higher. lately its been 60's and its warmer for like 2 months now...

What about her diet? She may need some extra supplementation. I think that some birds, like some people, need more of certain things in their diets. I am thinking calcium, niacin, protein, or other. Do you give her vitamins ever?

Either of my hens get vitamins but get TONS of veggies and sometimes fruit... they eat the layena and very minimal amount of corn.. VERY minimal since its been getting warmer out
