Hi all! So I have a Swedish Flower that is 3 weeks old. This bird is SO sweet and always jumps on my lap and takes a nap. I’m really hoping she’s a hen because I’m not allowed any roosters in my HOA. Apparently this breed is fairly rare because I can’t find much information on sexing them, so I thought I’d ask here! I know it’s still pretty early, but maybe a Swedish Flower expert has some insight? Otherwise, I’ll keep impatiently waiting and crossing my fingers she’s a she!

I got a picture next to her sister/brother. The white faced one’s comb is bigger and darker... is it too early to say that one is a roo?

My SFH cockerels developed larger combs and wattles very early. At 6 weeks there was little question as to who the boys were. The whiter one looks pretty boyish, but a few more weeks will give you a better idea.

edit: duh, you were asking about the little one next to him! Never mind, I need my brain checked.

No, you answered!! I’m bummed, I was really hoping for 2 hens. Do you feel pretty confident the white faced one is a cockerel, or should I wait a few more weeks? And I’m a few weeks, I should know about my little brown one too? They’re both sooo sweet, but the white one does “square up” with the other chicks a lot, so I’m thinking it’s definitely a cockerel. They’re both 3.5 weeks old now.
