Swedish Flower Hen Thread

As promised!
Cute chick photo.
Our flock has two roosters - One Swedish flower hen (alpha); One Black Java (submissive). Who do you think fathered these chicks? My bet is that the Java is flirting around more than we knew....!

I see one brown head out of 9 chicks in the brooder! One remaining egg in the 'bator. Wish it'd finish quickly, so I can clean the brooder and set MORE eggs to grow the Swedish flower flock! Chicken math strikes again!

These chicks are still wonderfully cute though!

She is a few weeks old now and she is really quite a beautiful bird I can't wait to see her all grown up . Not shy but cautious warms up pretty quick and is really sweet . Very happy

I know Swedes change a LOT from hatching to fully feathered...so I'm anxious to see what these little ones of mine will become.

Build another coop, larger than your first one, and fill it with Swedes! LOL
(That's a secret plan...don't tell family...they already are questioning my sanity...!)

It took me minute to get hubbs to agree to four birds ... suddenly I have a walk in coop and seventeen birds lolol I don't know I can convocon him of that lol
