We recently got two Flowers from our local breeder one is about 6 months and is super docile but have not laid yet.

I'm hoping they are both hens but if one is a male I don't think my girlfriend will be too upset she wants more.

Any thoughts on these birds? Everything I have read says they are super rare.

Great looking birds for sure. Maybe if you post a pic of your little one in 2-3 weeks time, the gender gurus will chime in and help you out.

All the best

Some chickens mature faster than others. They are of age where the egg laying should be soon.

My Crested Swedish flower hen :) I have two in the brooder now. Love these!! Very friendly and full of personality!

I just got her from a gal I've purchased several of her laying hens. This one is by far her nuttiest lol and full of personality. I can only hope I get so lucky with the chicks I have in the brooder. Thank you. Crazy Mabel is a sweet girl :)

A flock without Swedish Flower Hens is missing something for sure! One of my favorite breeds.
