I also have two cuckoo Marans and a brown leghorn. I used to have another leghorn and 2 Easter eggers but a pesky dog killed them:barnieoh I also had a really sweet silkie pullet that became a cooper hawks dinner.:hit At least nothing has eaten any of my swedens... yet.
I just the patterns on Swedish flower hen feathers, here is a close up of marshmallow’s

I've raised them for a little over 6 years now. They are by far my best layers and lay huge eggs. Even my two 6 year old hens lay nearly every day. And my 7 year old rooster is still breeding and fertile.

yes mine laid enormous and frequent eggs until a coopers hawk attacked them and made them stop laying:((its also winter here so that is definitely not helping).

They are such beauties!! They quickly went on my wish list 2 yrs ago & this past summer I was able to get 1 almost laying hen & 3 chicks that were to be hens. They turned out to be Roos, but they are still so beautiful! I look out the window everyday at them, wishing the could be girls. I have to find a new home for them, now that the cop is finally finished and the craziness of the holidays have past. My boy Pip jumped in front of hawk right after the New Year to save my Dark Brahma- he lost feathers & was shaken up, but is fine. My hen Zelda, we lost at the end of Oct for some unexplainable reason. I babied her all weekend and am just thankful she passed before my girls got back. They were heartbroken nonetheless, but I'm glad the didn't have to be here. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg
