Swedish Flower Hens!!

I just got two lovely little Swedish Flower Hens And was wondering if anyone had any idea how to tell was colors chicks would grow into when the get older! SFH have so many different colors but I never see any comparison of chick to adult coloring! If anyone had any to share I’d be so grateful. I wanna know what I could look forward to with my new babies! Will have photos of mine soon!

This is a little late in coming and mine aren’t fully grown yet but I would love to see yours as well!

The grey was pretty obvious when she was born, even before she fluffed up. Same for the the mottled black though one has some brown flecks showing in her feathers. The Black Mille was the hardest to guess before she fluffed up.

Thank you for sharing!! They are so lovely! Did you find that during molting they have been changing color a lot?

not a lot, but the colours definitely strengthened and deepened over the last month or two; have you noticed big changes in yours?

Mine as still very young and are all still growing out of their down feathers but I have a rooster that looks almost barred instead of mottled and I have wondered if he will change.
He is the dark grey in the chick photo and you can see his almost barred coloring now. I’ll get an updated photo when I’m home. I’ve never seen anything like it in a SFH. Have you?

Hi, i was just wondering if my hen is a swedish flower hen. So far i’ve asked a lot but i can’t seem to place what breed she is. She is a bantam and lays small white eggs.

D'uccle, I think. SFH don't come in bantam size as far as I know.

Looks like they are Milli Fleur, D’uccle.
They are so lovely!
