Hi all,
I have the opportunity to buy some SFH chicks tomorrow (not sure what age or if pullets) and also a full grown roo.
My questions:
1) Does anyone understand the genetics yet? I'm told a white roo will throw the most colorful chicks (mille fleur) but that doesn't seem right to me.
2) If the answer to #1 is "Yes, go for the white roo" then that begs the question...what color pullets should I shoot for if I want very flowery, colorful hens?
3) Is there any way to sex them if they are still chicks?
4) Is there anything else I should know before buying them?
I'm so excited. I've wanted these since I first laid eyes on them. Any info would be appreciated!!!!
