Losing one is always hard, but especially so after you've bonded with one that you helped recover from illness or injury. And, 3 1/2 years is much too young.
Buttercup was a beautiful girl; I loved her close-up photo. Runners, like your sweet girl, sometimes look as if they might have the answer to some mighty deep questions going on in their little duck brains.
Buttercup was lucky to have a person who loved her and offered the best possible care. I am very sorry that she is gone. Take care.
