I have a one eyed EE cross beak rooster who needs a new home. He's about four weeks old and a little small for his size, but he eats well, is feathering out nicely, and he's very friendly.
Here's the problem...all of my chickens have been exposed to IC and Avian Leukosis. (See my signature.) I'm rehoming them with another exposed flock, but the lady doesn't want my little cross beak chick. I'm not sure if the chicks have been exposed or not, but I don't want to run the risk of the new flock getting sick from one tiny chick after going through the effort to disinfect and start fresh. One of my hens got into the brooder cage a few weeks ago and ruined my plans of keeping the chicks.
Any ideas what I could do with this little guy? It breaks my heart that he has no where to go. I wish I could keep him...
