Sweet little coturnix babies hatching today!

They take 16-18 days to hatch...my last hatch took a full 18 so I didn't figure this would be earlier. But, my new incubator works so smoothly that I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I woke up to one of the 13 pipped! A nice big pip too! Hopefully she'll come quickly and then the others won't be far behind. They hear the first chirping and it calls them.

5 babies hatched so far, on this the start of Day 17. There are 3 more pipped and 2 more developed (as of day 10), so we'll see what else I get today!
