Sweet Potatoes...okay for chickens to eat

I have been told that chickens should not eat raw potatoes. I am wondering whether this is also true for sweet potatoes. Since sweet potatoes are only a distant relative of the potato I am guessing they are okay. Does anyone know for sure if i can share scraps of sweet potatoes with my flock?

Potatos are okay, it is the peels that can be toxic if the peels are GREEN. Regular colored peels are okay.

I'm sure scraps of sweet potatos or yams are fine.

I fed cooked sweet potatoes. They love them.
