Hi all, my husband and I are in southeast Texas and we’ve been raising birds and selling eggs for 5 years. BYC has been an amazing resource for us, I just had never created my own account to post until now because of a hen we have that’s egg bound and I have X-rays to show.

We have probably 100 chickens and 15 ducks. We have mostly dual purpose hens because they free range and they just do quite a bit better handling the elements and predators and what have you- it’s a mix of RIR, black copper maran, ameruacana, olive eggers amongst others.

My husband does farming, heavy equipment work, grounds management, and more and I am a counselor that offers animal assisted therapy on the farm with cows. The farm life is very very important to us. We have had our business sweet times on the farm for 5 years and just started offering cow cuddling sweettimesonthefarm.com

Welcome and thank you for the wonderful pictures. Do you have the egg bound hen's condition under control, or do you need help?
