ok another newbie??

will my ducks want to swim in our pool in are yard this summer and will they poo in it .. so that i should keep it covered and detur them from it??

and if they do get in it will the clorine bother them at all.... another reason to keep it covered???

as i am writing this i am getting the feeling that i am answering my own ?? so now i just need you to tell me

"YES COVER THE POOL"

thanks in advance

We have a pool and they did not want to or even try to swim in it. My DS put them in there and they would just hop out. Yes they will poo in there if they are in there.

If you are talking about a pool that you put chemicals in, I would definitely keep them out. Mine always drink their swimming water when they are in their pool.
And, yes, they WILL poop in it, just about as soon as they hit the water! My pool is cleaned daily for 3 ducks and sometimes just hours after that you can hardly see the bottom! Adorable, but messy little creatures.

thank you all we got our 3 last yr around the end of summer
so we let them just swim in our old lil cheep pool
the kids put there frogs and toads in they catch
so i was thinking of getting a new bigger one for them
or mabey even watch craigs list for some one who want to get
rid of a pond / water feature and they could have that ....

and mabey they would stay out of the big pool ..
it is high .. it is a 10 by 20 pool and is about 4 +ft deep when
full so thought about have some other lower water for them
to swim in
